A 17-YEAR-OLD has been arrested after a woman was allegedly raped on a river pathway. The woman was reportedly assaulted on Beaver Road, Ashford before 9pm on Friday, 24 January. The boy from the Romney Marsh area has since been arrested on suspicion of rape.

Kent police are reviewing CCTV and speaking to potential witnesses. The suspect remains in custody while the investigation continues.
