Wrexham issued the following statement: "Wrexham AFC can confirm midfielder Andy Cannon suffered a ruptured ACL in the match against Mansfield Town on Sunday (February 23).
WREXHAM ace Andy Cannon could be facing a battle to play again this season after suffering a "bad" knee injury.
Cannon, 28, was given oxygen and stretchered off during the Red Dragons' 2-1 victory at Mansfield Town on Sunday in League One.
The club, which is owned by Hollwyood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, also announced Cannon faces a "significant period of rehabilitation time".
Wrexham medics immediately rushed onto the pitch to come to Cannon's aid and team-mates soon formed a protective huddle around him.
