WWE 2K25 hands-on preview: Intergender wrestling, backstage brawls and more 2K’s efforts with last year’s game were admirable but with The Bloodline taking centre stage, it’s time to get ready for WWE 2K25.

There are two new Backstage Brawl areas to this year’s game, which bring a welcome hint of silliness to the game: the WWE Archive and NXT Parking Lot.

Developer Visual Concepts has continued to take great strides since the self-enforced hiatus after WWE 2K20 was quite rightly slated, and now the present and future of WWE gaming looks bright.

The AI feels smarter and 2K has told us that the sliders used to determine how the AI plays as certain wrestlers has been extended this year, where the frequency of certain moves (and when they get performed in a match) can be determined in the Create a Moveset area.

It makes the arena feel like a living and breathing representation of WWE, just like having the Logan Paul’s Prime Energy Hydration Station as an interactive area and weapon.
