We're long overdue for a major Xbox Game Pass update, but in the meantime, there are still a great many games to come to the service this month. As of late, Xbox Game Pass updates have been more of a gradual drip feed compared to what we’ve seen from the likes of PS Plus. We’ve seen a number of monthly drops from the PlayStation service for many, many months now, and despite December’s Extra and Premium drop’s lateness, there’s a strong structure to its reveals. Xbox Game Pass plays it far faster and far looser with its deliveries, with the service leaping out of the blue with a heap of titles to be prepared for, doing so in a big way in December when it revealed a massive EA Play Game pass promotion that offered Ultimate subscribers the chance to bag plenty of new games and DLC.
While we got some major titles towards the end of 2024 come to the service, like the November Xbox Game Pass drop bringing Stalker 2 and the release date of Flight Simulator 2024, making the month one to remember for subscribers, it’s been a little quiet since.
