Young mum charged with murdering her baby daughter cuddles cat in new photos

A young mother who was charged with murdering her baby daughter has been pictured cuddling a cat in new photos that emerged today. Kinga Wydrzynska, 24, and her partner Michal Stasiak, 26, have been accused of killing one-year-old Isabella Stasiak in Rugby, Warwickshire. The pair, both from Poland and dressed in grey tracksuits, appeared at Coventry Magistrates Court this morning to face charges of murder and causing or allowing the death of a child.
Stasiak has also been charged with possession of indecent photographs of a child. They spoke only to give their names, dates of birth and addresses in court. Little Isabella was taken to hospital on the morning of January 7 after going into cardiac arrest at Wydrzynska's house in Johnson Avenue. She sadly died in hospital. Stasiak and Wydrzynska were remanded in custody to appear at Warwick Crown Court on Monday, Warwickshire Police said in a statement this afternoon.
The force previously said: "At 4.37am on Tuesday (7 January) we received a report of a baby in cardiac arrest at a house in the New Bilton area of Rugby. The baby was taken to hospital but sadly died. Anyone with information that could help police with their enquires can go to www.warwickshire.police.uk/report or call 101. Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. Please quote incident number 39 of 7 January 2025.".
West Midlands Ambulance Service said it was called to a medical emergency at an address in Rugby at 4.38am on Tuesday. Two ambulances and a paramedic rushed to the scene where they found a baby in a critical condition. Advanced life support was administered before the baby was taken to hospital.
