Zoe Ball, 54, announced her departure from the BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show last month, and is now - as she hoped - enjoying her time as a doting mum. The Strictly Come Dancing alum put her all into her final show just yesterday, and immediately went to see her son in America. Zoe shares two children with her ex-husband Fatboy Slim - real name Norman Cook – Woody, 24, and Nelly, 14. Grown up Woody lives in the United States, and Zoe flew over with Nelly to join him overseas, with Zoe arriving only hours after she said goodbye to her fans on live radio.

Woody took to his Instagram Stories to share his excitement about the reunion, kicking off with a selfie of himself grinning. “My mum and sister just landed!!!” he wrote alongside the jubilant snap. Next, he shared a photo of a bedroom, with Zoe tucked under the covers in bed while Nelly threw up peace signs at the foot. “Family safe & sound,” he wrote.

When Zoe announced her departure from the morning show on November 19, she made it clear that having more time for her kids would be a major perk. “I’m excited to embrace my next chapter, including being a mum in the mornings, and I can’t wait to tune in on the school run!” she shared in part of her leaving statement.

In her leaving speech yesterday, however, Zoe hinted that while she’s stepping back from her daily duties, she’ll still make appearances on Radio 2. "Thank you for tuning in, whether as a lone listener, as family, as a work Gang on your morning jogs, dog walks, truck drives, train commutes, or hiding in bed, it's been a real privilege to keep you company through your morning manoeuvres. You're just there and I'm just here having a chat with a mate. It's such a special, intimate relationship,” she said.
