When it comes to looking and feeling their best, nobody does self-care better than Amanda Holden, who despite a jam packed schedule, continues to make sure she prioritises her wellbeing with a variety of tried and tested treatments and rituals. In fact, it’s safe to say that when the 53-year-old mum of three isn’t busy brightening up the airwaves on Heart Radio, or delighting the masses as a judge on Britain’s Got Talent, rest and relaxation is often at the top of her agenda.
When quizzed about what exactly she does to maintain her look, Amanda previously admitted: “I'm a fan of various creams and potions, too, and lots of water (and wine!), but really I think it’s down to genetics. I’m up for anything, though nothing invasive.”.
Yet while it would be easy to agree and presume that Amanda’s toned physique and glowing complexion is an effortless combination of good hydration and flawless genetics, there are actually 10 specific things that the star does to make sure she retains her radiant glow.
So how does Amanda maintain her perfect image?. When it comes to exercise, Amanda likes to keep things relatively low impact, with the star having confessed to having developed a love for yoga while recovering from the death of her son seven months into her pregnancy, and following a traumatic birth with daughter Hollie.
Opening up about how practicing yoga had helped on her journey to recovery, Amanda explained: “I’m so grateful to my body after what it has been through. I got into yoga because after Hollie was born I’d been on a ventilator and I had a lot of lung problems. Kundalini yoga is all about breath work, so I took it on to build my strength. A lot of people advised me to do it for calmness, too. I don’t really sit still, I’m always on the go.”.
