Andrew Tate and his brother have left Romania on a private jet and are heading to the United States, according to reports. Self-proclaimed “misogynist” Tate, and his brother Tristan, had previously been held on charges including rape, trafficking and money laundering. Both deny wrongdoing.

The pair left Romania soon after 5am on Thursday local time (3am GMT), sources told the BBC. It is understood they had their passports returned to them on Wednesday. The Tate brothers were arrested in Romania three years ago and had been banned from leaving Romania.
It appears a travel ban on the pair - who have duel UK/US nationalities - has been lifted. The brothers are due to be extradited to the UK after the proceedings in Romania after Bedfordshire Police secured a European arrest warrant for further separate allegations of rape and human trafficking.
Those allegations, which the two brothers “unequivocally deny”, date back to 2012-2015. Romanian prosecutors and Tate's lawyer and communication team did not immediately comment on the reports. Earlier this month the Trump administration had pressured Romanian authorities to remove travel restrictions on the Tate brothers.
The case was brought up by Donald Trump’s special envoy Richard Grenell when he met the Romanian foreign minister at a conference in Munich, several sources told the Financial Times. The Tate brothers have 14 million followers on X between them, often posting across social media about male superiority and rejecting feminism.
Tristan Tate boasted on X in November about the Tate brothers’ role in the US election, claiming that “millions of young men in Europe and the USA have a healthy rightwing approach to politics that they would NOT have if Andrew Tate had never appeared on their phone screens”.
Meanwhile, Andrew Tate previously said he was targeted by a “USaid sponsored attack” - insisting “none of the charges against me were ever real”. The Tate brothers had previously been allowed to travel through Romania “while adhering to legal conditions”. Earlier this month Andrew Tate was released from house arrest by a Romanian court after five months.
