A spine-chilling horror flick that has won the hearts of both Ariana Grande and Stephen King, and boasts an almost perfect rating, is now available for free viewing. Late Night with the Devil, which was released in the UK in 2024, has a whopping 97 per cent critics' score on Rotten Tomatoes along with a solid 82 per cent from audiences. The film tells the tale of a late night talk show host who goes to extreme lengths to increase his ratings, attempting to broadcast a girl's possession live on TV during a Halloween special.
The star-studded cast includes David Dastmalchian (Prisoners, The Dark Knight) as 'Night Owls' host Jack Delroy, alongside Ian Bliss (The Matrix Revolutions) and Laura Gordon (Saw V). Ingrid Torelli also stars as Lilly D'Abo, a girl rescued from a notorious cult and now possessed by a demon.
Pop sensation and Wicked actress Ariana Grande confessed her love for the film during an appearance on Variety's actors-on-actors series with Gladiator star Paul Mescal, reports Surrey Live. "I watch a lot of horror," she began, as Mescal interjected: "I can't watch horror for love or money. I saw Longlegs recently... F*** me, I cannot do it.".
"It's so good," Grande replied. "That and Late Night with the Devil were my two favourite of the year for horror. You have to see it because even just the performance... you have to see it. It's so brilliant.". Grande isn't the only A-lister backing the flick as horror maestro Stephen King is also a fan. Singing its praises, he said: "I couldn't take my eyes off it.".
