ARMED cops have descended on a high street amid fears of a “hostage situation” this afternoon.
A man was seen waving a knife outside a window on Lewisham High Street in southeast London.
The street has been closed both ways between Lee High Road / Belmont Hill and A2211 Rennell Street.
The Sun has contacted Metropolitan Police for further information.
The nature of the incident is unknown.
