Armed police swarm on high street in south east London after ’emergency incident’ A standoff between armed police and a knife-wielding man on Lewisham High Street has continued into the evening.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: ‘Police were called to a disturbance on Lewisham High Street, at around 10:45hrs on Monday, 10 February.

The incident unfolded at a block of flats above a row of shops on Lewisham High street,just metres away from the local police station.
