Police are now urging people to come forward if they suspect something similar has happened to them, calling on potential victims to get in touch with officers. Speaking about the investigation, Met Police Det Ch Insp Amanda Prince branded the incidents “extremely alarming and distressing,” while maintaining the girls are being supported by the police.
“We are working at pace to investigate these incidents, which must have been extremely alarming and distressing for the victims, and we continue to support them,” she said. “Yesterday evening we arrested a 22-year-old man who remains in custody. I would urge anyone with more information or who may have been a victim to come forward. “I’m thankful to the two girls who have already bravely contacted police, and anyone who has any information, no matter how small, is asked to call us.”.
