A man has been arrested after two women were sexually assaulted outside a north London school. The incident occurred between 5.55pm and 6.15pm on Sunday, February 2, when a man allegedly approached and attacked the victims at a bus stop. Both women, described as white and in their early to mid-20s, fled the scene before police arrived. A suspect in his 50s, wearing a beige jacket and dark scarf, was arrested but later released pending further investigation.
Detective Sergeant Thomas Barnes, who is leading the Islington investigation, said: "While we understand the impact of incidents like this - and how difficult it can be to talk about – our officers are on hand to provide specialist support so we urge these two women to come forward with any information.". Police are keen to trace the victims - one blonde and one brunette - to assist with their enquiries. Anyone with information should contact police on 101, quoting reference 0543/02FEB.
