BBC Breakfast's Naga Munchetty had a witty retort ready after Carol Kirkwood made a playful jab during the live broadcast. Today's edition of BBC Breakfast had a festive buzz, with hosts Charlie Stayt and Naga Munchetty steering the ship into Christmas festivities. Weather presenter Carol Kirkwood was also ready to fill viewers in about the day's forecast.
In Thursday's episode, following a discussion about Elton John's music video, the conversation turned speculative over who might portray Carol in a similar production. Charlie posed the question, "Who do you think would play Carol in the video?" He then said back: "Well she's listening so I'm not going to say. I can feel her presence," while Naga humorously commented: "You can feel her eyes boring into the side of you. Morning Carol!" To which Charlie added, "I'm saying nothing.".
Carol joined in the banter remarking, "That's probably for the best Charlie," and Naga jestingly responded: "I should probably learn that lesson from time to time I think." Not missing a beat, Carol quipped back: Absolutely Naga, that could be your new year's resolution.".
Naga good-naturedly interjected with: "Yeah alright! Fat chance!" before the atmosphere lightened further as they checked in with Carol on how she was doing and she revealed all about the weather. This exchange comes on the heels of Naga revealing a project separate from BBC Breakfast.
She has announced her upcoming book, due for release in May 2025. She shared: "IT'S PROBABLY NOTHING is an exploration of the healthcare difficulties women face, from being heard to diagnosed and treated. In the book, I share my own experiences as well as those of many others, speaking to doctors and experts at every step of the way. Pre-order it now #ItsProbablyNothing.".
