Coronation Street character reveals she’s pregnant – and it’s a scandal

Carla Connor (Alison King) made an alarming discovery about her brother’s love interest in tonight’s episode of Coronation Street. The character woke up in hospital as the instalment opened, following her kidney transplant operation. Carla’s donor was her brother Rob Donovan (Marc Bayliss), who told DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) that he’d agree to the operation if she got his conviction overturned afterwards.

Lisa agreed, which turned out to be a massive lie. When Rob woke up from his operation, he believed it wouldn’t be long until Swain got the ball rolling with sorting her side of the plan. Lisa told Rob that she absolutely wouldn’t be doing as he said, and only agreed to it just so Carla could have the op and start to heal. Up Next. His anger growing, Rob called on Mandy for his new idea. Mandy was revealed as Rob’s girlfriend a few weeks ago. They had started seeing each other in secret, given Mandy works as a prison officer and Rob is still behind bars for Tina McIntyre’s murder. Mandy was tasked with kidnapping Carla and waiting in an empty room for Rob to arrive. When the two women got there, an unwell Carla did her best to try and make Mandy see that Rob is someone who is not capable of showing love to anyone.

Mandy refused to believe Carla’s words, and then dropped the bombshell she is carrying Rob’s baby. While this was going on, Rob had knocked Lisa unconscious to prevent her from calling for help. With a police officer uniform on, Rob arrived at Carla and Mandy’s location. There, Carla told her brother about the baby, which made him react in a way that allowed Mandy to see his true colours, and the fact he was just using her all along.

Just as Mandy rushed out, Rob tried to follow but was stopped by Carla, who managed to push him down some stairs. The fall resulted in Rob tumbling over a balcony, leaving Carla and Swain unsure as to whether he’s survived. Just what will happen next if Rob is dead?. And is this the last we’ve seen of Mandy?.
