There could be a new paternity twist on Coronation Street, after a scene on Wednesday night left fans unconvinced. Daniel Osbourne was shocked yet seemingly thrilled to be told by Jenny Connor that he was the father of Daisy Midgeley's baby. This was a little confusing given after the DNA test weeks ago, Daisy deleted the results without telling anyone.
Jenny has assumed amid reunion hopes for Daisy and Daniel that Daniel is the father it seems, unless she somehow found out the results. It was between Daniel and Kit Green in regards to the paternity of Daisy's baby, with Jenny now informing Daniel he is the father.
She told him that Daisy was worried about him only wanting to get back with her because of the baby, leaving him baffled. He asked her: "Do you know something? Jenny, is the baby mine?". She then leaned in and said: "You didn't hear it from me," before smirking at him. Daniel looked stunned before smiling at Jenny as the episode ended. But what will Daisy make of this?.
Viewers certainly aren't convinced given the fact Daisy told no one about the results. They think this twist can only mean Daniel is not the dad after all, while some fans think Kit also isn't the dad. After a run-in between Daisy and her ex Ryan Connor, fans are wondering if there's a third potential dad in the mix. Taking to social media, viewers began to predict Ryan will turn out to be the father of Daisy's baby, and not Daniel or Kit.
One fan said: "No clue but I did think Ryan first of all," as another viewer agreed: "Ryan I reckon." A third fan posted: "Think it's Ryan's or she says it is," echoed by another viewer who said: "Was thinking it's Ryan's or she says it is.". Another fan said: "I did read it’s none of them tho!" as a further comment read: "Na I don’t think he is she was so suss about it all bit weird that Daisy hadn’t told Daniel herself she’s being very strange about it all.
"I think it’s Ryan’s and she’s further along than what she thinks as she hadn’t had her dating scan yet and she wouldn’t tell Jenny who the dad was the other week. Very suss." As for Daniel, one further comment on the scenes said: "I think Daisy's exit will involve Daniel thinking it's his, then reuniting, but it's revealed to be Kits, causing her to leave.".
