A SEARCH and rescue operation has been launched in a bid to find a long-distance runner missing for two days. Jenny Hall, 23, was last seen leaving her home in Tow Law, County Durham, just after 3pm on Tuesday. Her car, a red Ford Focus, was found on Wednesday parked on the B6278, between Eggleston and Stanhope.

Officers say a search is under way involving specialist police, mountain rescue teams and search dogs as well as the coastguard. Durham Constabulary revealed Jenny, who is 6ft with long dark hair, is a keen long-distance runner and they are carrying out a wider sweep of the Teesdale area.
