EastEnders’ Reiss Colwell (Jonny Freeman) is set to stage a menacing return to Walford tonight – and it can only spell trouble for Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy) and Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer). The creepy character is currently on the run from the police after he finally unmasked himself as wife Debbie’s killer last week. He had let pregnant fiancée Sonia face trial for Debbie’s death, after he smothered her to death in her care home bed last year.

He also kidnapped Bianca and held her hostage for months after she uncovered evidence proving his guilt. But after Sonia was acquitted at trial thanks to Bianca recording a ‘confession’ to Debbie’s death, the truth soon came spilling out. With Bianca now also free from his evil clutches, Monday saw her and Sonia trying to overcome their recent ordeals by joining the celebrations for Honey and Billy Mitchell’s (Emma Barton and Perry Fenwick) wedding.
However, as the BBC soap’s 40th anniversary episodes continue tonight, danger lurks just around the corner, as Reiss is set to return. A preview clip from Tuesday’s instalment has teased his arrival, as he ominously watches the residents of Walford partying at the wedding. Spoilers from the episode have also revealed Bianca and Reiss are set for a terrifying showdown as she goes all out to ensure he pays for his terrible crimes.
But outside, two dramatic showdowns collide in devastating fashion, leading to a huge explosion ripping through the Queen Vic….
