Emmerdale fans know exactly who the father of April Windsor's baby is. April tragically had a stillbirth earlier in the week after running away from home. She decided she didn't want to be around her dad Marlon Dingle and Rhona Goskirk after finding out she was pregnant, worried what another child would do to the house. She heartbreakingly told her dad: "I wanted to tell you, I almost did. But then, I found out that you'd always known how my mum really died. Lied to me about it my whole life. So then I figured, if you could keep secrets then so could I. You hardly ever noticed me unless I was drunk." She admitted it had been hard because Leo took a lot of the attention and with Rhona and Marlon nearly splitting up over Ivy and him having the stroke, she "had to be the strong one".
Fans have been speculating about who the father of April's baby is - and now fans are convinced they know who it was based on when the baby was conceived, ruling out other theories including Anthony Fox. Taking to Reddit, one fan shared: "It was a fully formed (premature) baby so she was probably at least 5 months pregnant, meaning she probably got pregnant sometime around August or September. I don’t think there was much focus on her storyline at that point so really it could be anyone, but most likely I think it’ll be a new character.".
Another theorised: "I think they never told the viewer, so we would be in the same basket as Marlon. Completely in the dark, trust shaken and no information. Many a parent goes through this moment even when I was a kid with no Internet, they didn't know EVERYONE I hung out with. It's made worse by the Internet due to the fact that anyone anywhere can contact anyone anywhere.". April told Marlon that the father of the baby was a "random lad that she met at a party" and she "didn't even know his name" - but fans are convinced she might be lying to protect the real father of the baby.
