There was a shocking twist on Emmerdale on Monday amid a deadly limo crash, as a corpse was found in a lake. Amy Wyatt came across the decomposing body moments after falling through the ice, and as she fought for her life she got quite the shock. Seeing the corpse floating towards her she screamed and panicked, but she was unable to get out of the water. As her fate remains up in the air, fans are predicting the body will be identified as 'missing' Nate Robinson. Cain Dingle's son fled the village in September after a misunderstanding led to him being wrongly accused of sleeping with Cain's wife Moira.
Nate vowed to leave and has since cut off contact with his family, with fans convinced something is not right. Now, the discovery of the body has left them convinced he never left and may have been killed by John Sugden. Viewers have long speculated John is hiding something and could be a killer. He was the last person to see Nate before he left, and then recent scenes have shown the character acting strangely.
Not only that but he was recently unfazed when he helped Aaron Dingle cover up the murder of Anthony Fox, disposing of the body without even a worry. Viewers are now predicting John murdered Nate in September and hid his body in the lake, and that another character faces a similar fate. Cast your minds back to New Year's Eve, when the show kicked off 2025 with a montage of flashforwards. In one of these glimpses to the future, a character was seen panicked and running through the woods.
Mackenzie Boyd was seemingly running away from someone or something in a future scene. It was not revealed what was happening or when it would air. But now fans are convinced Mack will uncover the truth about Nate's possible demise, with the pair being close friends. As a result, fans think Mack will be hunted down by John as the possible killer's next victim. Taking to social media, one fan said: "Here is my theory if it's Nate in the lake, John killed him and then Mack finds out that's why he is running for his life in the woods as John wants to shut him up, but this is if #Emmerdale go this way, it would explain a lot about John if he is a killer.".
"Well I can't tell you that Alison," he said with a laugh. "But somebody else is under there. It could be - I don't know who it could be," he teased, as Dermot exclaimed: "It could be anyone!". "It could be a postman we've never seen!" laughed Jeff. Is Jeff remaining coy because his onscreen son is the mystery corpse?.
