Movie-lovers are convinced they already know who will win the Best Actor BAFTA at this year's ceremony. While they won't find out they're right until the ceremony, fans believe there's an obvious choice for the award. With the likes of Ralph Fiennes and Timothée Chalamet nominated for their work in Conclave and A Complete Unknown, the category isn't without incredible performances. Even with the wide range of performers up for the award, audiences believe they have already cracked who will win.

Not only do they believe the star in question will pick up a BAFTA for their performance, but believe the Academy Award for Best Actor is already theirs. Many are in agreement that they think Adrien Brody will snap up the award for his role as László Tóth in The Brutalist. A user writing in to the r/oscarrace subreddit asked: "Who do you have taking Best Actor at the BAFTAs?" Their suggestion for Adrien Brody to take home the award was echoed by other users. The original poster adds: "If Brody wins I think he'll win the Oscar but any other outcome throws it into chaos. Fiennes? Chalamet?".

Another user agreed, writing: "Brody. I am just not feeling like Chalamet can pull it off anymore." Chalamet's performance as Bob Dylan was lauded by critics and fans are loving his frequent nods to the legendary songwriter on red carpets and premieres. The 28-year-old actor, known for his roles in Dune and Call Me By Your Name, paid homage to some of Dylan's more questionable fashion choices earlier this year. Appearing at a premiere of the film, Chalamet was seen wearing a blonde wig and beanie, mimicking a fashion choice Dylan fans still find iconic.

Other actors up for the BAFTA this year include Ralph Fiennes for Conclave, Hugh Grant for Heretic, Colman Domingo for Sing Sing and Sebastian Stan for The Apprentice. Despite the awards ceremony being based in Britain, users don't think it will give Grant or Fiennes an extra edge in the awards race. One user wrote: "I'm ruling out Fiennes because if Farrell couldn't when Keoghan and Condon could, I don't see his Britishness or any overdue factors helping him out. I will also rule out Grant Domingo for BAFTA too.

"Sebastian Stan would be kinda crazy, but his film made the BAFTA top 10 for film and people are watching the film more and loving his performance. I'll say it has more than 2% of a chance. Chalamet could too, but I feel like Brody will just win.". Debate between fans raged on over whether Brody's chances of winning an Academy Award for The Brutalist will be affected by his BAFTA success. One wrote: "Brody. But no matter who wins, Brody will get the Oscar at the end." Another disagreed: "Incorrect, if Brody doesn’t win bafta he’s not winning the Oscar, he’s not winning sag so Bafta is his biggest and final hurdle.".
