THE full list of shops and banks which have been forced to close today has been revealed as Storm Eowyn batters the UK. A red "danger to life" weather warning has been issued across parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland. People in Scotland areas have been urged to stay indoors after the Met Office issued a red danger to life warning for wind.

The storm has sparked extreme warnings for the area and Northern Ireland, with the storm likely to damage buildings, uproot trees and cause power cuts, the Met Office said. Alongside, supermarkets closures trains have been cancelled and flights have been grounded.
Schools in the area have also been closed to ensure the safety of children. Morrisons said 50 of its stores in Scotland would close because of Storm Eowyn. The stores across the region will be closed today, January 24, with a spokesperson telling The Sun they will reopen when it is "safe to do so".

Sainsbury’s also said it will close its supermarkets and convenience stores in Scotland and Northern Ireland on Friday, January 24.
In Northern Ireland, all stores will be closed from 7am until 3pm. In Scotland, stores within the most significantly impacted areas will be closed from 7am to 6pm. Sainsbury's said stores will "reopen once it is safe to do so after the weather warning lifts".
