Gayle King leaves Call Her Daddy podcaster Alex Cooper flustered after asking about her sex life live on TV

Gayle King left Alex Cooper very flustered after she boldly asked about her sex life mid-interview on Tuesday's episode of CBS Mornings. The 70-year-old anchor surprised the Call Her Daddy podcaster, 30, and the rest of the show's cast and crew when she dropped the left field question. After referencing Alex's one year of marriage to husband Matt Kaplan, Gayle went rogue and asked point blank: 'What is your favorite sex position with Matt?'.

Completely shocked by Gayle's question, Alex exclaimed: 'Oh my God Gayle, are we allowed to talk about that?'. She then appeared red faced and wiped a tear from her eye as she jokingly signaled the cameras to cut. While Alex then sarcastically pretended to give Gayle a candid response, the broadcaster took over and explained why she was had asked the question in the first place. Alex Cooper was completely flustered after Gayle King asked her about her sex life during an appearance on Tuesday's episode of CBS Mornings.

The 70-year-old anchor surprised the Call Her Daddy podcaster with the left field question. 'I'm making a point [that this] is what Alex does on her show [with her guests],' she pointed out. 'She got Katy Perry to talk about her love language, she got Hailey Bieber to talk about her favorite sex position, Simone Biles about her mental health... I'm amazed [by it].'. Gayle continued: 'What amazes me about you is that we're sitting there in those hooded sweatshirts, which makes everyone comfortable, you ask these raunchy questions sprinkled in with a lot of smart too.'.

Putting the unexpected moment to one side, Alex talked about her interview style. 'I do ask a lot of the crazier questions that we're not [always] allowed to talk about [on a show like CBS Mornings].'. She added: 'There's a lot that goes into it prior to [the interview]. I'm not asking [something like their favorite sexual position] as the first question in the interview. 'I think there's a rapport that I build with these people and yes, when I'm asking [celebrities], it is a question we want to know, but it's asked in the appropriate way at the right time.'.

Alex exclaimed: 'Oh my God Gayle, are we allowed to talk about that?'. The podcaster married film producer Matt Kaplan in Mexico last April. Alex is no stranger to being able to get her celebrity guests to open up during appearances on her wildly popular Call Her Daddy podcast. Last month, Amy Schumer made a 'scary to say' sex confession. The actress, 43, revealed she had 'never orgasmed from penetration' in a candid chat with host Alex.

She admitted: 'It's a scary thing to say out loud. It's scary because nobody talks about it because we're all, like, getting an Oscar.'. Amy said she 'didn't think to try and have a guy make' her orgasm until she was in her 30s and said since: 'I've had generous partners who understand that I need to orgasm first.'.
