'These movies are made for audiences, not critics,' David A. Gross from Franchise Entertainment Research told Variety. 'Gerard Butler is an established action star, and this kind of good-guys-versus-bad-guys material plays well around the world. Foreign business should be solid.'. The box office take has not yet opened in the international market, and the initial domestic opening did not cover the movie's $40 million budget.
