Robson Green is set to have an on-screen reunion with his Grantchester co-star in the new series of Robson Green's Weekend Escapes. The third series of Robson Green's Weekend Escapes sees the Hexham-born actor journey across rural Britain with celebrity friends and family, showcasing the splendour of our country. The new series, spanning 15 episodes, will take viewers on a tour across Northumberland, North Yorkshire, Scotland and County Durham with the Grantchester star.
The first episode features Robson's Grantchester co-star and on-screen wife Kacey Ainsworth for a weekend getaway in the north east. Robson Green's Weekend Escape will be broadcast every weekday on BBC Two at 6.30pm from Monday (February 10). All episodes will be available to stream on BBC iPlayer from Monday. For the 60 year old, 'Robson Green's Weekend Escapes' is a break from acting, having also presented Extreme Fisherman, Tales from the Coast and Tales from Northumberland.
The actor has gained fame for his role as Detective Inspector Geordie Keating on the ITV detective drama since 2014, reports Chronicle Live. His impressive acting career includes roles in Casualty, Soldier Soldier, Wire in the Blood, Being Human, and Waterloo Road. When he's not on set or exploring scenic locations, Robson resides in a charming 350 year old cottage in Hexham, Northumberland, with his girlfriend, Zoila Brozas.
Born in this picturesque town but brought up in nearby Dudley, Cramlington, he later returned to be near the River Tyne, which he loves for its breathtaking views.
