Legendary tag team The Hardy Boyz have clarified their TNA Wrestling future and admitted a WWE return is on the cards. Matt and Jeff Hardy currently hold the TNA Tag Team Championships, which they will defend on January 19 at Genesis against The Rascalz, and they will remain with the company for at least another year.

Speaking exclusively to Metro, Matt, 50, said: ‘We’re committed. We’re with TNA for another year, and we’re very excited and happy about that. ‘We really want to continue to try and help elevate TNA as much as we possibly can. That’s mine and Jeff’s goal, because TNA is a very important, integral part of the business. It needs to be successful. And we want it to be successful.’.

When it comes to Matt’s 47-year-old younger sibling, Jeff still has goals of returning to WWE and being part of the company’s iconic opening video package. ‘I can’t lie, man,’ he said. ‘You see the galaxy or the universe and all these legends of WWE like, Andre the Giant, and you see them like in the stars and outer space.

‘And I see myself like doing the guns to my mouth. Every time I see that, I’m like, “Oh my God”. I hope I can make that a reality before my career is all said and done.’. Making it back to WWE could even happen as a result of the company’s ongoing partnership with TNA, which has seen several NXT stars cross over, while the likes of Joe Hendry and Jordynne Grace have all gone the other way.
