Hollyoaks spoilers follow for Wednesday’s (February 12) episode that is now available to view on Channel 4 streaming. The episode in question will air on E4 on at 7pm. Frankie Osborne (Isabelle Smith) was left reeling as she found dad Darren (Ashley Taylor Dawson) in bed with newcomer Kat Omari (Sonia Ibrahim). The teen was at Weirside View for Dillon Ray (Nathaniel Dass) and Lucas Hay’s (Oscar Curtis) moving in party after Rex Gallagher (Jonny Labey) provided the property rent-free for the couple.

Darren, meanwhile, was left concerned to see Kat, who he encountered when he went missing last year, speaking to Frankie, wanting to know why exactly she was spending time with younger people. Kat, as viewers know, is grooming Frankie online at the request of Rex. Frankie, unaware of her new friend’s true motives, berated Darren after he interrupted the party to speak to Kat. Feeling down after a row with Nancy (Jessica Fox), Darren ultimately decided to enjoy the party as he showed off his DJ skills at the event.

After a lot of alcohol consumption, Darren retired to the spare room at the property, where Kat joined him. The two shared something of a heart-to-heart, with Kat telling Darren that he makes her ‘feel safe.’. Rex, meanwhile, turned his attention to manipulating Dillon once more, encouraging him to take drugs. Frankie wasn’t pleased when she realised that Dillon had taken drugs and resolved to stay in the spare room.
But upon entering the room, she saw Darren under the covers asleep – with Kat beside him. The discovery left Frankie in shock. Has Darren cheated on Nancy?. That remains to be seen. It was confirmed earlier this week that Frankie and Dillon will be groomed by Rex in a child exploitation storyline. As we’ve seen on-screen in recent episodes, the characters will be offered a lifestyle that they perceive to be glamorous but it will soon come to light that they’ve been lured into a world that is very difficult to escape from as they find themselves subjected to criminal and sexual exploitation.
In order to ensure the storyline is told as authentically as possible, Hollyoaks has worked closely with Causeway, a charity that supports, empowers and creates change for survivors of modern slavery.
