LERWICK (6.00 Kempton, nap). Enjoyed dropping back to this 7f trip when just denied at Newcastle 12 days ago. He hit the front and looked like the winner only to be chinned in the final few yards. He should be suited by the shorter straight here and stays in the same grade. A repeat of that last run should be good enough for Ed Bethell’s five-year old to land another success.
ART OF DIPLOMACY (2.45 Wetherby, nb). Has shown lots of promise on three starts since going chasing. He was asked to make up far too much ground when third at Wetherby last time and it’s a wise move to step up in distance here. His handicap mark is coming down and this looks a good chance to strike.
