When a car crash killed father Steven Collins, 40, and his daughter Raleigh, 2, the tragedy didn't end there. Mum Wendy Bailey, 22, was hospitalised after the tragic accident but there was also someone missing from the car, which led to a whole new investigation.
For while father and daughter died and mum Wendy Bailey was in a serious condition in hospital, there was no sign of the family's one-year-old son Kahleb Rowan Collins. Friends and extended family began to ask questions about the little boy's whereabouts and it has since emerged that he not been seen for months.
Yet it was only after the car crash that killed his father Steven and sister Raleigh, that Kahleb was reported missing and people started to suspect a crime may have been committed. Steven was driving the the family's truck with Wendy and Raleigh as passengers, near their home in Alabama, when the crash happened on December 8. The truck careered off the road at 92mph before colliding with a tree, according to Alabama State Troopers.
The vehicle was torn in two by the force of the impact resulting in the deaths of dad Steven and daughter Raleigh, while mum Wendy was rushed to hospital where paramedics fought to save her life. But the story doesn't end there - as people began to ask questions about the whereabouts of Raleigh's brother Kahleb, the local sheriff's office was informed he hadn't been seen since early September, three months prior to the crash.
