A woman who purchased a 'tired and dated' 1960s bungalow that 'nobody wanted' has shared the stunning five-year renovation of the property. Author, designer and stylist Reena Simon, from Wales, started her mission to turn the old-fashion home into a Scandinavian haven for her, her husband and their three daughters in 2018.

She has long documented her home renovation journey on her Instagram page, @hygge_for_home, which boasts 336,000 followers. In one video showcasing the property's dramatic transformation, she said: 'We bought the bungalow that nobody wanted. The interior was dated and tired.

'It needed a lease of life and a new story. It has taken us five years to do this. Let me take you inside.'. The video showcased the building when it was first purchased in 2018, looking old fashioned with attention-stealing red carpets and outdated frosted glass windows.

Elsewhere, the kitchen had 60s style magnolia cupboards and the bedrooms were covered in outdated wallpaper, while the grounds outside were left covered in overgrown grass. The bathroom was plain and uninviting, with light wooden flooring and walls covered in white tiles and yellow paint.
