Identity of woman Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl had a love child with revealed

Jennifer Young has come out as the mother of Dave Grohl’s daughter, months after it was revealed the rock star had had a secret love child during his marriage. Foo Fighters frontman Dave, 55, devastated fans last year after revealing in a bombshell Instagram post that he was expecting a child with another woman.

He confirmed he had cheated on his wife of 21 years, Jordyn Blum, stating that he was ‘doing everything [he] can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness.’. Weeks later, it was revealed he had hired a divorce attorney, with Dave and Jordyn both spotted without their wedding rings.

However, their divorce announcement took another unexpected twist in November, with an insider reporting that the lawyers have been called off as the couple seeks to work through things once again. This comes as Los Angeles local Jennifer has confirmed that she is the mother of Dave’s child.

Jennifer told Page Six that the baby was born on August 1, 2024 and that Dave’s surname is listed on her birth certificate. However, she has not revealed the child’s full name for worry that ‘there’s some really angry fans,’ adding: ‘Protecting her identity is really important.’.

Page Six has reported that the tattooed music lover—whose ink includes the Metallica logo and Paul McCartney lyrics—can often be seen walking around downtown LA with her seven-month-old daughter. In November last year, a source told People that Dave had called off his lawyers as he and Jordyn tried to repair their marriage.

‘He’s no longer working with a divorce attorney and instead hoping to work things out with his wife,’ an insider said. A second source told the outlet: ‘Dave’s been prioritising his family. He knows he messed up. ‘It’s one of those situations where you don’t realise what you have until you’re about to lose it. He doesn’t want to lose his family.’.

Dave is now father to a daughter with a woman now believed to be Jennifer, as well as his and Jordyn’s children, Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10. The estranged couple has not addressed the family situation publicly since his post, but the publication claimed Jordyn has been aware of the child for a while.

‘I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage,’ the Everlong hitmaker wrote. ‘I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her.’. Comments were switched off on the post in the face of a huge online reaction after Jordyn gave an ‘ultimatum’.

In the wake of the news, Foo Fighters pulled out of their first gig after the scandal at the Soundside Music Festival in Connecticut, US. They are now said to be on indefinite hiatus, with a source telling The Sun: ‘Being on the road isn’t the best thing for any of them at the moment.’.

On top of the new baby, the Foo Fighters have suffered the loss of their best friend, drummer Taylor Hawkins, as well as the death of Dave’s mum. A break is said to be ‘the best thing for them collectively’ as the band focuses on their families.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, another insider claimed Dave is trying to ‘divert his focus’ and support his wife in the ‘day-to-day things she wants’. ‘He thinks the marriage is salvageable so why not try to fix it?’ They said, adding that Jordyn hasn’t felt like his ‘number one’ for a while.

Jordyn is Dave’s second wife, as he was previously married to photographer Jennifer Leigh Youngblood from 1994 until 1997. The pair are thought to have split after the Nirvana star admitted to being unfaithful. Dave returned to the stage earlier this year, reuniting with the surviving members of Nirvana for a four-song fundraiser for FireAid.

The world of music put on a show of solidarity in Los Angeles for a fundraising concert after devastating wildfires blazed through the city, destroying thousands of acres and killing 29 people. In addition to performances from Lady Gaga, Stevie Wonder, and the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Nirvana reformed for one night only, with Dave’s daughter Violet joining the band on stage.
