The hero barber customer who was half way through his haircut when he jumped from his chair to save a police officer went straight back after to finish his trim. Kyle Whiting was halfway through his haircut when he noticed a police officer being attacked by a man at a bus stop across the road.

The 32-year-old had just dropped his partner at Warrington Hospital after injuring her foot and decided to pop to the barbers as they faced a long wait to be seen. Visiting the Haron Barber's in Cheshire for the first time on Tuesday, Mr Whiting had just sat down in the chair when his hairdresser suddenly stopped cutting his hair.

Looking out the window, he saw a man - in a black jacket and grey hoodie - hit a police officer forcing him to the ground during. Without hesitating he ran out of the shop and across the road with his barber's cape still on to help the fallen officer. 'At this moment I think s*** better go and help him. There's no other officers on the scene,' he told MailOnline.

'So literally ran out and ran over,  dragged him off, pinned him down, and held the back of his arm and put my knee on his back.'. Kyle Whiting was halfway through his haircut when he noticed a police officer being attacked by a man at a bus stop across the road.
