Gordon Ramsay and Gino D'Acampo had appeared to be a surefire match on screen, firing jokes at each other while travelling the world and tasting the most delicious food. During their Road Trip series, the TV chefs appeared to have a strong, if not profitable, connection with fellow chef Fred Sirieix. Viewers enjoyed seeing a funnier and friendlier side to them. But Italian chef and This Morning star D’Acampo is being accused of bullying and making sexually offensive remarks by scores of people who have collaborated with him on different programmes over a 12-year span.

In one alleged incident in 2011, D'Acampo allegedly told a female coworker he would “like to turn me over and f*** me up the a*** against the kitchen counter”. A second woman accused D'Acampo of “aggressive” behaviour during a location shot, saying he made reference to his genitalia and opened the door while wearing boxers.

In a third case, D'Acampo allegedly said, “If you don't get me a Cornetto, I will f*** your girlfriend,” to a young crew member over ice cream in 2019, according to a former coworker. As a result of the allegations being made public, ITV severed its relationship with the celebrity and removed a new Family Fortunes series and scheduled repeats of his shows, including the material he filmed with Ramsay.

Either way, the pair became very familiar with one another over the next couple years, with the release of their travel and food show Gordon, Gino and Fred's Road Trip. The show saw the close friends travel all over the globe in search of good food. The ITV series was a huge success with viewers, it went on for a couple of seasons and picked up multiple awards along the way, including a Bafta and Best Food Show award at the 2019 TV Choice Awards.

Turbulence was spotted for the first time between the pair in 2023, when D’Acampo announced he would “not film any more Gordon, Gino and Fred Road Trips”, citing disputes surrounding the contract and behind-the-scenes issues as his reasons for stepping down. Fans at the time suspected a crack in their relationship as Gordon, Gino and Fred: Road Trip is produced by Studio Ramsay, Ramsay's own firm, which was established in 2018.

He added: “Gordon texted me yesterday saying, 'How are you buddy?' And I just spent five days with Fred on holiday in Sardinia. We love doing it and it's very much on the cards. We want to do Australia next. “But the main issue is two very busy individuals – Fred and Gordon – and one guy who only works six months of the year. Right now, Gordon is the busiest, so Fred and I have filmed something together instead.”.

Gino and Fred: Emission Impossible, Sirieix and D'Acampo's travel programme without Ramsay, debuted last year and chronicles the two travellers' environmentally conscious journey across Austria and Croatia. Some sources suggests cracks in their relationship developed even earlier, in 2019, when Ramsay publicly vented his rage over Tilly, his teenage daughter, being in a relationship with D'Acampo's son, Luciano.

The young pair were first linked that year after meeting on the set of their fathers' joint ITV cooking show. It was during a FaceTime chat that the Hell's Kitchen star discovered Tilly and Luciano together while filming Gordon, Gino and Fred: American Road Trip. Ramsay was clearly not impressed when Luciano indicated that he was eating at Heddon Street Kitchen, one of Ramsay's restaurants, and Luciano rotated the camera to view Tilly.

“Tilly, what are you doing, Matilda?” asked Ramsay, to which Luciano clarified, “We're on a date, we've gone for dinner.”. Ramsay responded, “Tilly, you didn’t tell me you were going to dinner with Luciano,” to which Tilly laughing replied, “Oh, sorry, I must have forgotten!”. While Tilly appeared over the moon about the relationship, Ramsay clearly wasn't as he called the situation a “f**king nightmare” on The Jonathan Ross Show.

According to reports, the pair are “no longer on speaking terms” after their friendship became “fractured” as a result of Ramsay's “concerns” about the Italian chef. “He wanted to change those ways but then it led to difficulties between them. Gordon found there was a lot of unacceptable behaviour going on, he saw things he didn't think were okay so he spoke up. That was that, friendship over.”.
