Isla Fisher has given fans an insight into her current dating life after her 'difficult' split from husband Sacha Baron Cohen. The 49-year-old Wedding Crashers and Confessions of a Shopaholic actress and ex Sacha, 53 - who is most famous for his Ali G and Borat characters - announced the end of their 21-year relationship in April last year. Though it emerged the couple, who share three children, had actually quietly split in 2023. After meeting in 2001, they got engaged in 2004 before tying the knot in Paris in 2010.

But in a joint statement on Instagram breaking the news of their split, Isla posted a comedic photograph of herself and Sacha posing together wearing tennis whites. She wrote: "After a long tennis match lasting over twenty years, we are finally putting our racquets down. In 2023 we jointly filed to end our marriage. We have always prioritised our privacy, and have been quietly working through this change. We forever share in our devotion and love for our children. We sincerely appreciate our family’s wishes for privacy.".

Moving on in her life and career, Isla revealed she has now moved from the US to London after saying "it was an unappealing concept to live in Trump's America". She is also set to appear in the upcoming Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy film, which is released in cinemas on Valentine's Day. Speaking about her split with Sacha, Isla told The Times: "It's the most difficult thing that I've been through and I've learnt so much about myself in the process. I never imagined my family being separated, but we are committed and loving parents.”.

Asked if she is currently dating again, the star - who first shot to fame in her native Australia as Shannon in Home and Away - declared: "That's not on my to-do list. I'm not ready to think about any of that.". But one thing she is doing is "trying to readdress my ambition and refocus and get re-inspired for my career", as well as focusing on the women in her life and the female friendships who have held her up through her divorce.

Isla shared: "The women in my life have held me … those women have been there for me. I'm actually going to get emotional. I'm sitting here today because of them. I've learnt so much about the power of female friendship and I've just learnt that I do have resilience, who I am outside of a partnership, and what my values are. It's been this expansive learning curve.". Do you have a story to share? Email me at katie.wilson01@reachplc.com.
