It and It Chapter Two went on to become huge money spinners at the box office during their respective releases in 2017 and 2019 and now the franchise is all set to get even bigger. A prequel series titled It: Welcome to Derry is set to air and it looks like fans have plenty to look forward to.

Actor Bill Skarsgard, who plays the infamous Pennywise has teased what viewers can expect and it seems that the makers have left no stone unturned. While speaking on Josh Horowitz's Happy Sad Confused podcast, Bill spoke about filming as he expressed: "t was fun.

"I enjoyed it more than I thought I would, actually, and there's parts of it where we got to explore sides um of old Pennywise that we haven't seen, you know? And that's fun. "I think there's some cool stuff in there that we haven't seen that I'm excited for you, the people, to watch and enjoy hopefully.".

Bill was asked if the horror quotient has been amped up because it's on television rather than in film, to which he teased: "It's pretty hardcore, man. It's not the G-rated Pennywise.". The series wrapped shooting back in August, with co-showrunner and executive producer Jason Fuchs sharing the news on Instagram.

Posting a snapshot of his production chair adorned with the iconic red balloon, he penned: "237 shoot days later... That is a picture wrap on this season of Welcome to Derry. Surreal. What a ride. Can't wait for you to see this thing.". Set in the 60s, Bill is joined in the series by a stellar cast including Jovan Adepo, Chris Chalk, Taylour Paige, James Remar and Stephen Rider.
