Noel Fielding seemingly predicted the fate of his Apple TV show The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin in a resurfaced interview. The Great British Bake Off star, 51, took on the lead role of the legendary highwayman in the big-budget series, which debuted last spring.
However, reports this week revealed that production for the second season was abruptly halted. Ironically, Noel had hinted at the show's uncertain future, comparing its absurdist tone to Our Flag Means Death - a series that was canceled after just two seasons.
The 18th-century comedy's quirky vibe apparently raised concerns even during its early stages. 'We felt like we were going, 'There aren't really any shows like this,' and then Our Flag Means Death came along and we were absolutely distraught,' he told Vulture.

He added: 'But we did watch it – we made ourselves – and we thought, 'This is different enough.' You have to have blinkers on when you're making stuff.'. MailOnline has contacted Noel's representatives for comment. Noel abruptly pulled out of filming for his comedy series The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin due to ill health.
