Jaden Smith certainly knows how to turn heads – and he did just that at the 2025 Grammy Awards. Standing out on the red carpet at the Crypto.com arena with his sister Willow in tow, Jaden rocked a puzzler of an outfit. The 26 year old son of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith looked dapper in a classic black tux and tie combo teamed with casual black sneakers. Yet, it was his bizarre headwear – a massive black house-shaped hat with an oval cutout for his face – that truly dropped jaws.
Social media went into overdrive, as punters on X, formerly Twitter, launched a meme-fest dissecting the rapper's "creative" choice. "Whoever told him this was a good idea doesn't like him," one user fired off on the social media platform. Another quipped: "Will needs to slap tf out of whoever made him wear this.". Meanwhile, another commenter lamented: "Sad, he is attempting to become relevant.", reports the Mirror US. However a fourth said: "It is all about grabbing people’s attention during the #GRAMMYs Kanye West and Jaden Smith successfully accomplished that.".
And another seemed to defend the look, arguing, "Let people express themselves. Style is personal, and it's cool when someone dares to be different. Respect over criticism," championing style freedom. It comes as Bianca Censori also risked the wrath of onlookers with her bold choice. The 30-year-old star attended the event with her husband, Kanye West, who was nominated for two awards and opted for an all-black ensemble of a t-shirt, jeans, sneakers and dark sunglasses. However, it was Bianca's shocking decision after dropping her black fluffy coat that could land her in trouble. She revealed her bare body beneath a skin-tight mesh slip dress. With her hair tied back, every inch of her was on display, potentially landing her in hot water with the law.
According to California Penal Code 314(1), indecent exposure is defined as "when a person exposes his or her naked body or genitals in front of anyone who could be annoyed or offended by it. Following the red carpet, comedian Trevor Noah will be hosting the broadcasted Grammys ceremony this year, marking his fifth consecutive year as host.
