Justin Baldoni's lawyer has given an update on his client's mental health amid his ongoing legal battle with It Ends With Us costar Blake Lively. Bryan Freedman appeared on the February 17 episode of the Hot Mics With Billy Bush podcast to discuss the latest updates regarding the case, and didn't hesitate to reply when Bush asked about Baldoni's current state. 'I think he's hopeful and I think he's grateful, he's grateful that he's with his family,' Freedman divulged, referring to the fact that the 41-year-old is currently on vacation with his wife and kids in Hawaii.

'He's grateful that he can be with his family and grateful that he could let other fire victims use his house, so it could come of some use,' Freedman continued, referring to the Los Angeles wildfires. 'But like anyone else who would be going through a situation where you're accused of something that you did not do, and are suffering in a public way, I think it's distressful to say the least.'. Bush went on to mention the fact that certain people are now changing tactic when it comes to supporting Lively, such as It Ends With Us actor Brandon Sklenar, who refused to confirm whether he is 'Team Blake or Team Justin.'.

He then asked Freedman about 'alleged HR complaints' that are circulating on social media regarding two other women who claim to have experienced incidents with Baldoni. When he questioned if it's being investigated, Freedman replied: 'I think we're looking into everything. It's interesting. What are the dates of this complaints?'. Bush confirmed that names and dates had been 'redacted' from the complaints, to which Freedman replied: 'I'm not really sure why the dates are redacted, that's interesting. I'm unaware of any HR complaints that have been filed.'. 'How extensively do you vet your client?' Bush then asked as Freedman replied: 'I look through every document, every email, every text message.

'Listen to stories, listen to the history of what he's been through, listen to voice notes and really try to evaluate the strength of the defense of the case, and frankly, in this case, the strength of his claims.'. He then teased: 'Certainly more evidence will come to light and more information will come to light and people will see it in a similar fashion. 'It's an honor to represent Justin and I say that because of the person he is, what he's been through... Justin has not been treated fairly,' he added.

When Bush mentioned Lively's appearance at Sunday's SNL50: The Anniversary Special, where she posed for photos and sat in the audience with her husband Ryan Reynolds, Freedman did not hold back in his thoughts. 'That seemed like that might be the latest move,' he said of their attendance. When Bush brought up Reynolds 'making light' of the ongoing legal drama during an exchange with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, Freedman replied: 'I'm unaware of anybody, frankly, whose wife has been sexually harassed and has made jokes about that type of situation.

'I can't think of anyone who's done anything like that. So it surprised me,' he added. It's been reported that Baldoni's legal team could use the couple's appearance at SNL50 in their defense case, especially after Lively said in December that she was suffering from 'grief, fear, trauma, and extreme anxiety.'.
