Music legend Keith Urban has confirmed he will be forced apart from wife Nicole Kidman and his two daughters when he hits the road again at last. He will step away from his family for the High and Alive World Tour, marking the first time in three years that the country singer will be touring. It all kicks off in Canada in May with eight shows planned as Chase Matthew, Karley Scott Collins, and Alana Springsteen all join him on stage.
The 57-year-old singer revealed to fans: “Looking out from a stage and seeing people singing, forgetting about all the stress in their lives, cutting loose, and feeling ALIVE- that’s what it’s about for me. Lots of hits, new songs, things we won’t even think about until we’re onstage and loads of guitar. We’re gonna make this tour the best night of your life!”.
His wife Nicole and their two daughters, Sunday Rose, 16, and Faith Margaret, 13, are right behind the move and Keith said of the film star in a recent interview with Kelly Clarkson: "She hears everything I do, especially if I’m writing an album. What I’ve learned is when I play her something, I’m obviously interested in her reaction, but I’m also really interested in how I feel when I’m playing it for her or anybody else. I’ve learned to trust my reaction much more.".
She connected with the New Zealand-Australian singer in 2005 at G'Day LA, an event honouring Australians, and the pair got married in Sydney in June 2006. Nicole admitted during an interview in 2015 that they "didn't really know each other" before they got together. Adding: "We got to know each other during our marriage.".
