Kelly Cates will anchor Sky Sports' Super Sunday coverage of the Manchester derby on Sunday afternoon despite it being revealed she will soon leave the organisation to join the BBC's Match of the Day team. Mail Sport understands that Cates will leave the broadcaster to become part of a three-person team of MOTD presenters at the end of the season.

The highly-regarded broadcaster, daughter of Liverpool legend Sir Kenny, will head to the BBC at the end of the season following the departure of Gary Lineker. It is expected that Cates will join fellow broadcasters Mark Chapman and Gabby Logan, with presenting duties for Match of the Day and Match of the Day 2 split between the three of trio.

Sky bosses are said to be upset that the 49-year-old - daughter of Sir Kenny Dalglish -  has decided to leave the organisation after identified by the BBC as the leading external candidate to replace Lineker. However, it is businesses as usual on Sunday when Cates joins Roy Keane, Micah RIchards, and Gary Neville at the Etihad stadium for Man City's hosting of rivals Man United.
