Kerry Katona has spoken out about her split from fiancé Ryan Mahoney, revealing that she now 'knows' the fitness trainer wasn't 'the one' for her. The former couple were together for six years before Kerry revealed they had parted ways in November following a 'breach of trust', with Ryan moving out of their shared Cheshire home.
And while the former Atomic Kitten star, 44, has been open about her heartbreak in the weeks since, it seems she has turned a new leaf. Taking to her weekly column, Kerry wrote: "I’m feeling really good going into 2025 – it’s going to be a great year. I’m not heartbroken any more and feel like I know that Ryan wasn’t the one for me.".
She continued: "I’m a single woman and am in the best relationship of my life, which is with myself. I know people do things like Dry January and diets, but I don’t drink much anyway and like to work on myself every day, so I’m not into any of that. I’m just going to take it easy this month.".
The new leaf is a far cry from Kerry's admissions last month, where she detailed her anxiety for spending Christmas without Ryan for the first time in years - and shared her heartbreak. She said last month: "I’m struggling to move on. It’s going to be so strange waking up on Christmas morning without him. I’m so used to having him there that it will be really weird. I’m not feeling very excited – it’s my first Christmas as a single mum again. I thought I’d be with Ryan forever, so I didn’t expect to spend Christmas alone.”.
