Lakers owner Jeanie Buss has opened up about why she and her husband Jay Mohr never sleep in the same bed as one another. Buss, 63, and 54-year-old comedian Mohr married in an 'intimate' ceremony in Malibu in September 2023, but it seems they have made a conscious decision not to actually live together. During an interview on In Depth With Graham Bensinger, the blonde sports executive claimed, 'Everybody is going to want to live exactly the same way,' before detailing the set-up she has with father-of-two Mohr.

'Right now we live in a building that has three units. So, I live on the top floor and Jay lives on the first floor and there's a couple that live in between us,' she explained. 'So, we live together [and] we're at the same address except I'm unit three and he's unit one.'. Buss continued: 'We don't really wanna change anything because I like my space and I have my schedule and he likes his space and he has his schedule.

'But I can take the elevator down in my slippers and hang out a little bit and go back up,' she said, before adding: 'I would recommend it to any couple that feels the same way.'. The video clip then cut to Mohr talking about their living situation too as he mimicked Buss saying: 'It's like, "alright I'm gonna go upstairs," and I'm like, "okay.". The couple, seen here on February 13, confirmed that they live in the same building but on separate floors. 'We see each other every morning, every afternoon and every night [but] when you're home alone in your bed, it's like... guys are gross. 'Like we just make sounds, we sweat, the sheets get all wrinkly and weird. It's like, "ahh just let her sleep like a princess or a Barbie still in the box.". 'She doesn't need to be subjected to me in my wrestling sweatpants just belching in my sleep!' Mohr added.

People were quick to comment on the clip and share their thoughts as one person described it as 'relationship goals.'. A second wrote: 'She's a billionaire, I cannot judge because if I was that rich I'm making my spouse sleep in another bed too.'. And a third suggested, 'Bet they sleep great,' while a fourth person joked: 'He gotta request an appointment just to cuddle.'. However, someone else claimed, 'that is not a marriage,' while another alleged: 'She is not in a relationship for love, she in a contractual relationship lol. It's a business decision. Mfers in love don't sleep separately lol.'.

But a different person argued: 'This is just the billionaire version of couples sleeping in separate rooms, and that's actually really common.'. The 54-year-old comedian said his wife doesn't need to be subjected to his 'sweat' and 'belching' in the bedroom. The duo began their romance in January 2017 but didn't go public with their relationship until 2021. Buss and Mohr initially began their romance in January of 2017, although they did not go public with their relationship until 2021 and confirmed their engagement in December 2022.

It's unclear if the pair signed a pre-nuptial agreement when they got married in 2023. Buss, who became the controlling owner of the Lakers in 2013 after the death of her father Jerry Buss, has a net worth of around $500 million, according to Forbes. She is considered one of the most powerful women in sports and is also the co-owner of Women of Wrestling, which now broadcasts on Paramount in over 200 US markets thanks to a syndication deal she helped secure.
