Maria, the mother of Love Island: All Stars' Luca Bish, has given her take on the explosive argument between Grace Jackson and Olivia Hawkins that unfolded on Sunday night's episode. The show spiralled into chaos as eliminated contestants returned to determine which couples from the bottom three in the public vote would be leaving before Monday's final. Olivia stirred the pot by accusing Grace of faking her feelings for Luca, whom she is paired with, alleging she had seen 'secret messages' indicating Grace was only interested in a relationship to get to the final.

To the shock of the villa, she declared: "So I've seen text messages of Grace just saying to someone that she'll do whatever it takes to win the show this time from someone back home." A distraught Grace reassured Luca: "Baby, that is absolutely not true. I do not care about winning this show". As the situation heated up, Samie Elishi, who fought Grace for Luca's attention, also claimed to have seen the notorious messages. Grace retorted: "On my life, I have never written that sentence in my life. It's b******t, and someone's forged that, that's not true. I am gobsmacked".

Grace's close friend Harriett Blackmore added: "Liv's probably texted herself and used it as an answer. Babe, we all know you wouldn't do that. She probably made it up babe, like she did with Ronnie.". Luca and Olivia were acquainted outside the villa, both hailing from Brighton. And Luca's mum didn't hold back when commenting on Liv on social media as the episode aired. A teaser released by Love Island on X revealed a heated argument between Grace and Liv, which was commented on by Luca's mother Maria through her antique shop's page. She stated: "Liv you told me you wouldn't stop at anything to get with Luca when he left the island. So this is interesting.".

Following comments applauded Maria for defending Grace amidst the controversy. Also to Grace's defence, her ex Reuben Collins has spoken up for her, branding the texts “fake.” Grace formerly dated Reuben when they were on the show together last year, and despite not staying together he showed he came to his defence on Instagram after the shocking scene, writing “FAKE NEWS.”. While Olivia couldn’t vote for Grace and Luca to be kicked out despite her accusations, she did have plenty to say about Harriett and Ronnie, who were ultimately dumped from the villa.

The couple spoke to Maya Jama on their way out, and Harriett admitted that she was shocked by the experience. "I know that Liv had a few opinions, because obviously she tried to speak to Ronnie in the past. So I kind of accepted that vote. But a few friends in there, like Sammy Tina, I didn't expect those girls to vote for us,” she said. Like this story?
