A MAN has appeared in court charged with having sex with a Shetland pony. Damion Ogeare allegedly broke into a farm in Trowbridge, Wiltshire, and abused the female mare. The 43-year-old appeared at Salisbury Crown Court today charged with one count of sexual penetration with a living animal.

Ogeare is also accused of recklessly trespassing on premises with intent to commit a relevant sexual offence. He had been due to enter a plea but the case was adjourned. The court was told Ogeare was allegedly seen trespassing on the farm on January 24 last year.
He is accused of breaking into a stable containing two Shetland ponies and having sex with a mare called Cassieopia Wooley. The defendant then left the farm around ten minutes later, it was said. Prosecutor Christina Norgan said: "This defendant stands charged in relation to two offences.".
