Manchester United fear Amad Diallo could miss the rest of the season in a huge blow to Ruben Amorim. The winger has been one of United’s best players this season, scoring nine goals and providing seven assists, but he is now facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines. The Daily Mail report that Amad suffered an ankle injury in training this weekend and will now be assessed, but there is a suggestion that the ligament damage could bring a premature end to his campaign.
United have not played since edging past Leicester in the FA Cup more than a week ago and it has proved to be a frustrating period since then. According to The Athletic, Kobbie Mainoo is set to be out for at least a couple of weeks after picking up an injury of his own in training, while fellow midfielders Manuel Ugarte and Toby Collyer are also expected to be ruled out of Sunday’s clash against Tottenham.
