Speaking to Channel 4, one of Manson's childhood friends, Scott Wade, recalled shocking memories of the musician's father that would 'push you past your comfort zone'. 'His dad could say something that would shock you a little bit. He could say something that would push you past your comfort zone,' he said.

'His dad said "have you ever sucked a d**k sweeter than mine",' he recalled. In a previously unheard audiotape interview, the documentary revealed Manson speaking to The Rolling Stone in which he said he shared his father's characteristics of being 'violent, erratic, driven'.
