It's news that is sure to get their fans talking. Matt Lucas and David Walliams could be about to reunite for a new TV series. Any new venture would mark the first new television project between the pair in 15 years. They teased the news during an interview with Chris Moyles on Tuesday. The comedy duo were guests on The Chris Moyles Show on Radio X, with the presenter quick to ask them about any potential future endeavours. They delighted listeners as they revealed they are "kicking a few ideas around together".

Their resurgence as a comedy duo has led to the pair releasing their own podcast. It comes 15 years after they rounded off their sole season of Come Fly With Me. The mockumentary about a fictional airport and airlines was a hit with viewers, but short-lived by the pair. Little Britain made a brief return to the screens in 2022. However, offensive blackface scenes were cut by producers for the BBC iPlayer offering after the show had been removed from the service in 2020.
On Tuesday morning, radio presenter Chris had asked the pair: "Now, you two, obviously writing together. You haven’t written together for a long time.' David joked: 'Well, we have actually. I wrote Matt’s book for him. Much better than my one!". Bringing a more serious tone to the back and forth, Chris went on to press: "But are you writing stuff together?" Matt replied: "Yeah. So we’ve got two or three ideas in development at different stages.".
Eager to get more out of them both, Chris went on :"When are we going to see you two doing characters on the television?," to which Matt replied: "Well we are, yeah, we’re kicking a few ideas around. We're having meetings, we're doing all those sorts of things, and we shall see. There's nothing to report yet, but when there is, we'll go on Heart…". Rob Brydon joined Matt and David on the first episode of their podcast. Rob revealed to the pair how his Gavin & Stacey co-star Ruth Jones is like a "sister I never wanted". He opened up on his close relationship with Ruth, who he first met at school in Wales.
Speaking of how their bond formed, Rob said: "At one level just liking theatre and performing and at another what bonds anybody to anybody? We just hit it off. You know, we're very similar. We overlap in our sense of humour and I just really adored her and she is one of my longest friends.". Like this story?
