Australian cricket captain Pat Cummins won't forget his recent interview with Star Sports presenter Sahiba Bali anytime soon - but for all the wrong reasons. Cummins, 31, sat down with Bali ahead of the fifth Test against India at the SCG - and some of the questions were harder to face than a Jasprit Bumrah delivery.
Bali, who hosts the popular Date with a Superstar series in her native India, didn't hide her open admiration for Cummins, who at times looked like he wanted to be anywhere else as the cringe level went off the charts. 'Pat, I have to tell you something. I love you, but I hate you at the same time,' Ms Bali began.
'Our entire nation has the same feeling as me. It's a love-hate relationship with him.'. Cummins, who will miss the upcoming tour of Sri Lanka as his wife Becky is due to give birth to their second child, stated he 'didn't even know where to begin with that one' when quizzed on his adoring female fan base, especially on the subcontinent.
He then added he wasn't seeking attention from women as he is a 'goody-two shoes' and was part of an Aussie dressing room that's made up of 'family men'. The interview with Ms Bali went ahead as Star Sports are Indian cricket's official broadcast partner.
