The announcement of Paul Danan's death shocked the showbiz world as his management shared a touching tribute to the star. The 46-year-old tragically died this week, with his management confirming the heartbreaking news. They said: "It is with heavy hearts that we share the tragic news of the passing of @pauldanan at just 46 years old. Known for his television presence, exceptional talent, and unwavering kindness, Paul was a beacon of light to so many.
"His untimely departure will leave irreplaceable voids in the lives of all who knew him. During this difficult time, we kindly request respect and privacy for Paul's family, friends, and colleagues. No further comments will be made at this time." The star went through many struggles in his life, including drug addiction and health woes.
In 2007, the former soap star was sacked from his lead pantomime role in Jack and the Beanstalk - in which he was playing Jack - when he swore at a crowd in Preston during a Christmas Lights switch-on. He was hit with a fine by the police after he offended the crowd by swearing at them.
He was invited to the event to promote his pantomime but instead, families left in disgust because of his comments. Following his comments, pantomime producer Viv Wells announced they sacked him from the shows. She said at the time: "He has been sacked, obviously because of what happened last night.
"We are a family-run business. I have three children of my own and our shows are for families and do not even have any innuendo in them. I did not have my kids with me last night, but I was left feeling sick because of what he has said in front of an audience of children and families. It was totally out of the blue and I am completely shocked.".
