Prime Target will be arriving on Apple TV+ on Wednesday, January 22. The eight-part series will be dropping episodes each week on Wednesday with the first two episodes arriving in one go for the show’s premiere. The finale is slated for release on Wednesday, March 5.
Prime Target follows a maths whizz, who unwittingly uncovers a formula which could unlock all digital security across the world. In his thirst for knowledge and to understand prime numbers, he unleashes chaos with various outside intelligence groups quickly hot on his trail.
The show boasts an international cast with White Lotus and One Day star Leo Woodall as Cambridge postgraduate student and mathematical genius Ed Brooks. Starring opposite is rising non-binary actor Quintessa Swindell as government agent Taylah Sanders.
The actor is best known for their roles in Euphoria as Anna and playing the lead Tabitha Foster in Trinkets, as well as parts in Black Adam and Voyagers. The show also stars Irish acting legend Stephen Rea of The Crying Game and The Shadow Line fame as House Master of Darnell College Professor James Alderman; Sherwood, The Walking Dead and State of Play’s David Morrissey portrays Ed’s supervisor Professor Robert Mallinder with the two having a tense relationship; and Sidse Babett Knudsen - best known internationally for Borgen and Westworld - playing Mallinder’s wife Professor Andrea Lavin.
